Mr. SUNIRMAL BHATTACHARJEE
Asso. Professor
Mr. Sunirmal Bhattacharjee is an accomplished pharmacy academician and researcher currently serving as an Associate Professor at Bharat Pharmaceutical Technology, Agartala, Tripura. With more than 13 years of teaching and academic experience, he has been actively involved in pharmacy education, student development, academic administration, research, and professional activities. He holds Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutics and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences at JIS University, Kolkata. His academic and research interests include pharmaceutical formulation development, novel drug delivery systems, sustained and controlled drug delivery, nanotechnology, metallic nanoparticles, wound-care systems, and biomedical applications of advanced pharmaceutical technologies.
Mr. Bhattacharjee has made significant contributions to pharmaceutical research through numerous research and review publications in national and international journals. His scholarly work encompasses areas such as natural polymers, sustained-release formulations, lipid-based drug delivery systems, hydrogels, metallic nanoparticles, artificial intelligence in biomedicine, and antimicrobial biomedical materials. His recent research has particularly focused on the development and characterization of nanoparticle-based systems and innovative biomaterials for pharmaceutical and biomedical applications.
Apart from teaching and research, he has actively participated in numerous Faculty Development Programmes, national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and academic training programmes. He has also delivered invited academic lectures and presented his research at scientific conferences. He is actively associated with professional pharmacy organisations and serves as the Joint Secretary of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), Tripura State Branch. Through his commitment to teaching, research, innovation, and academic excellence, Mr. Bhattacharjee continues to contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical education and research, with a particular interest in promoting innovation and developing research-oriented learning opportunities for pharmacy students.
